Not Primarily
Hello Friends!

I’m back, sorry I have been absent so long. It’s summer, which means it is productivity season!

Some things that have happened in my life recently:

I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed last week (5/7 to be exact). I was out of commission for a full week, plus a great infected dry socket in one. I still have a big open hole in the back of my mouth from it, but it is mostly annoying at this point.

I have a lot of goals this summer! I hope you guys will enjoy hearing about them almost as much as I enjoy achieving them.

While I’m sorry to have inadvertently caused any offense, I’m actually really glad this came up. I tried to be fairly diplomatic in my language in this comic because I could see the potential for offense to men who also menstruate. I’d actually really love it if some folks could give me some feedback on the best language to use in these circumstances, and particularly some clarity around the word ‘guy’.
Being cis-gendered, my personal experience is pretty limited. I’ve been very lucky recently to have met a trans* guy on the I’m Awesome Thanks social network who’s extremely open and willing to discuss his transition with me in the name of helping me to relieve my ignorance. The problem I’m having though is that pronoun/identity preferences vary so widely.
Does ‘guy’ generally refer to male-identified people? Is it just a sign of our male-dominated language that ‘hey guys’ is considered an appropriate greeting for a mixed-gender group, but ‘hey ladies’ isn’t? Does ‘male’ exclusively mean cis-gendered men? Any discussion that helps to better educate me is greatly appreciated. Thanks tumblads and tumbladies :)

Transman here. First I’d like to say that the person who replied to your comic is awfully aggressive. Aggressive responses to ignorance breeds spite. Your response is awesome and calm, but rare. I think it reflects badly on our community when any time someone says something that is not PC or not entirely correct in usage of terms, they are met with a rude, snarky, or downright mean response.
Come on, people. I know it’s the internet, but it is much more beneficial to EDUCATE instead of attack. Remember that your emotions cannot be conveyed accurately, use your sarcasm wisely.
That being said: cis- is a good indicator of a person who is not trans. Male, guy, dude, whatever are vague and most people will associate them with gender. Personally, I don’t like being excluded from those terms. Something about someone saying “you’re a man, but you’re not male” is bothersome to me.
While I’m reblogging: thank you for your comics and your authenticity. They have really helped me understand EDs better and how to be there for certain people in my life who are struggling.

Drew this a while ago, I know it’s been some time since I’ve said hello! Life sure is hectic!

Have you ever had an exceptionally terrible day but were unable to get those feelings down? That his how I feel at the end of today.

The consulting part is from Sherlock, since Sherlock is a consulting detective. Pervert is because it's true. I am a pervert. I'm also not that much of a creep I swear. I just have esoteric sexual preferences and I put that in my tumblr username.

As long as you are honest, it’s a-ok with me!

You're so great. Your art is so great. I like you.

I feel suspicious about this- on the one hand, this is a really nice comment… on the other, your username…

HMM…

Hey, can we see what you look like? Just curious! I'm looking for some hope for the future, I guess. :)

Binder Review: T-Kingdom Model 801

This is a review of how this binder works for me (5’2”, ~125lb, A or B cup), not necessarily how well it will work for your body. People’s bodies are all different, so remember that my review is from the standpoint of my own body type. I’ve owned and used a lot of binders, so I hope these reviews are helpful to someone out there.

This is a short binder (on me, it comes to a bit under my ribcage) with a zipper down the front for easy on and off. In fact, this is the easiest binder I’ve encountered on that front.

Binding: I would call this a medium strength binder. It is going to give you some binding, but if you have a larger chest it may not bind as flat as you’re looking for. In tight shirts, you may still have a bit of shape, particularly if the binder is older. It is perfect for everyday use in thicker shirts, particularly polos (like many work shirts), vests, sweaters, etc. In a thinner shirt, it will show off your bigger pecks… so it is best if you have arms to match them.

Discretion: It has a zipper in the front, so in thin shirts the tab may show through. On thicker shirts, you can’t see it. I recommend wearing an undershirt to minimize it. It is a short binder so on thinner shirts you may be able to see where it stops on your ribcage. As the binder gets older, it may raise up a little as well (from pulling it down, it stretches). You can’t see it through normal shirts, though.

Comfort/Ease of Wear: A+! Super easy to get on and off. I usually forget I am wearing it. Like any binder, you may get a little hang over on the armpit area.

Durability: The zipper is extremely durable. I have a binder that is years old that I would still wear. However, it loses quite a bit of elasticity over time. I would say the lifespan of this binder is realistically like 6mo to a year if you treat it right, but it will lose binding effect over time.

Final thoughts: I love this binder. I know it sounds like there is a bit of negative in there, but for my body type and comfort level it works for me. I wear it to work every day, and LOVE the easy put on/take off with the zipper. That being said, I wish it was more long lasting, but I recently realized that in my 3 or 4 years of binding, I’ve only gone through 3 of them, so that is pretty good.

Some fanart for you!
Rest assured, I’m drawing more often… but… it’s mostly ponies, and I wouldn’t do that to you, my dear followers. I respect you too much.
Unless it was really awesome, or something like that.
